Samurai Man With A Sword On Singapore MRT Train Spotted

According to a report on asiaone.com, at about 12.45pm,
on 16th December 2013, a man carrying a weapon
that looked like a long sword was spotted on the MRT train at Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station.

Samurai Man has been identified as Mr Peter Chua.
He is a 39-year-old swordsmanship instructor and tattoo artist,
according to the latest report from asiaone.com on 18 Dec 2013 at

Video interview from commuter who was on board
with never before seen footage of Samurai Man caught on Traffic Light Junction Camera
At Bugis Area before he was caught:

He appears to be wearing a printed white T-shirt and a wrap-around sarong.
It's strange that he would carry such a big weapon onto a public transport system.

What were his objectives?
To cause a commotion? To cause harm? To raise awareness?

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Some crazy scenarios that I think would be possible:

1. He could be a time traveler who has ended up in the wrong era and destination.
Thus explaining his attire and weapon.

2. His sword is actually a umbrella with the handle shaped like a samurai sword.
He just got that from an office party Secret Santa exchange
and was making his way home.

3. He's on his way to a cosplay party and doesn't have enough money to take a cab.

4. He's a undercover agent testing out the security protocol of the SMRT company.

5. He just wanted to have some attention for the day to cap off 2013.

6. On his way to Cathay Cinema at Dhoby Ghaut to watch the new Keanu Reeves movie "47 Ronin"

--------------------------------------------------------------------

He's just been apprehended by the police.
He looks like his has shoulder length hair that are half bleached.

According to a report from asiaone.com, he could be faced with a 5 year jail sentence
for wielding a sword on board a train.

He had apparently jumped over the fare gate at Paya Lebar MRT station without using
his EZ link card as well.

This mad man used to live in Vancouver, Canada. I guess Canada deported him.
