The Black Google

Didn't know that black pixels were energy saving. Amused? (Nods head) Nice to see google in black though. Fresh change from the boring white and blue theme. Original source from spoon interactive

Puzzle Bobble / Bust A Move

Was searching for this game for my mum. I ended up spending hours on it. Its a great mindtrip back to the old school days when I donated buckets of coins in those arcade machines. I remember having a hard time trying to pull friends away from it as well. Ha.. Damn hard to get those balls into the tiny nooks. Amusing nonetheless.

Prints International

Prints International has been sprouting across the island with its repertoire of paper products such as photo albums, cards, wrapping paper, notebooks and boxes. Pretty and classic looking prints that makes gift buying much easier. Prices are affordable. Only con is that the designs are not updated regularly and tend to look bland after a while when you revisit the shop. Nonetheless, thumbs up.

Paper People

Seen those real cool notebooks at Topshop Wisma? The producers of those funky little notebooks are none other than the paper people. Check out their website and eshop for more info.

Fancy reading a book while you plunk yourself down on a chair. Forget about stretching, choose any of your books just around and about you. Cheeky 2 in 1 idea.

They have a buddha jelly mould as well that looks too deliciously holy to be devoured. Is it a sin to eat the great image of the Buddha? Om Mi Tou Fuo....

kleinschmidt

A wonderful food photography portfolio. Simple and tasteful. The colors are brilliant and composition is flawless. Most of the popular food blogs going round are filled with generous reviews and images from the common man. But they lack a certain aesthetic acuteness and quality. I hope the foodie blog phenomenon doesn't kill the livelihood of these professional food image masters. Its gourment cuisine for the eyes.

Audrey Kawasaki

Chanced upon this gem while i revisited momomoogie . This illustrator paints on wood with the most subdued colors. The subjects are fragile and etheral with a melancholy and mysterious air. There are influences of asian themes, think flowing mountains and detailed flowers, thrown in occasionally with circus like objects like tigers, fire-eaters and such. Never OTT just very beautiful and quiet.

Polyvore

Mix and match your favourite ensemble. Styling has never been easier or more fun. You don't even need photoshop to start. Its amazing what they come up with. Good way to shop, scour or browse for nice stuff to buy online as well when you're exploring the different color or thematic sets.

Lego USB

This is so cute!! Lego + Tech is so cool! :) Price is too high though. Wonder how the guy came up with the idea in the first place. Some other sites have posted similar versions as well. And it glows when connected. Its childs play.

Alwin Lim Photography

Alwin is an ex-colleague who used to crack us up during lunch with his nonsense. He's all grown up now and has started prepping his photography skills for a slice of the local wedding photography pie. Delicate and sensitive with a touch of whimsical insight. Check him out/

A Matter of Taste

http://www.corzo.com
Nice simple graphical treatment to a flash site built for tequilla. Its very sophisticated and simple. The way I like it. Not too many jarring colours or text to distract you. Just simple layout and seamless execution, plus the loading is pretty cool. Brings you into the story. lurves it..

You Give Me Something

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_Z2gwniy0g&mode=related&search=

Really like this song now. Slow, mellow, yet deep and moving.. Everybody now.. "you give me something.. that makes me scared alright...This could be nothing
..........But I'm willing to give it a try............Please give me something
coz someday I might know my heart...." I find myself crooning and swaying each time I hear this on the radio. Very emotive.

You want to stay with me in the morning
You only hold me when I sleep,
I was meant to tread the water
Now I've gotten in too deep,
For every piece of me that wants you
Another piece backs away.

'Cause you give me something
That makes me scared, alright,
This could be nothing
But I'm willing to give it a try,
Please give me something
'Cause someday I might know my heart.

You already waited up for hours
Just to spend a little time alone with me,
And I can say I've never bought you flowers
I can't work out what the mean,
I never thought that I'd love someone,
That was someone else's dream.

'Cause you give me something
That makes me scared, alright,
This could be nothing
But I'm willing to give it a try,
Please give me something,
'Cause someday I might call you from my heart,
But it might me a second too late,
And the words I could never say
Gonna come out anyway.

'Cause you give me something
That makes me scared, alright,
This could be nothing
But I'm willing to give it a try,
Please give me something,
'Cause you give me something
That makes me scared, alright,
This could be nothing
But I'm willing to give it a try,
Please give me something
'Cause someday I might know my heart.
Know my heart, know my heart, know my heart..

The Prestige

http://theprestige.movies.go.com/

Went to watch this movie. It was good and impressive. The plot had some loopholes though. Started well enough. 3/4 till the end, the writer probably got stuck and shortcut his way through to a climatic but not bery intelligent ending. Throw in a pair of twins, a magician, 2 doors, and a electric bolt and what have you.
Seriously, the concept was good. I just though it could have been better.

#01.
Why would Christian have distracted Hugh to Teslan??? And if he knew about Teslan, he would have expected a scientific comeback from Hugh would he not.

#02.
Shouldn't Fallon have been exposed since he was caught in the box!! Hello!!! How convenient. Surely the stagehand or Hugh would have seen through the disguise.

Okay, enuff bout gripping. It was well executed nonetheless. And Chris and Hugh were delicious eye candies. Slurp!!!!!!

Stella Im Hultberg

http://momomoogie.livejournal.com//

Stella's illustration and painting style is really good. She brought me back to my teen years when I started out illustrating girls, pixies and fashion pieces. I smiled as I chanced upon her works. Simple happiness.

Her style reminds me of Klimt with the sinuous body curves of the female form. Intimate yet faraway detachment of the subject. She has a distinctive style that is hauntingly beautiful.

Think Different - Here's To The Crazy Ones

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Think_Different

This was an inspiring read. Very good concept and copy writing. I loved it. I feel the same. Wonderful Campaign. Moving, Simple and Clean. Bravo.

Here's to the crazy ones.

The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes.
The ones who see things differently....

They're not fond of rules
And they have no respect for the status quo.
You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them,
disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them.
About the only thing that you can't do is ignore them.
Because they change things.
They invent.     They imagine.     They heal.

They explore.   They create.        They inspire.
They push the human race forward.
Maybe they have to be crazy.

How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art?
Or sit in silence and hear a song that's never been written?
Or gaze at a red planet and see a laboratory on wheels?
We make tools for these kinds of people.

While some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.
Because the people who are crazy enough to think that they can

change the world, are the ones who do.

I Love Taiwanese Babes

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J9h6ghQheUI&search=wo%20ai%20tai%20mei

Ha. I"ve always loved Hip-Hop, Ah Yue's Lazy Youth Angst. Bochupness and catchy tunes. This is a cool crappy combi of these little pleasures. The lyrics & lingo are really cool, light, humourous, sarcastic and a funny dig at society. Would be lovely if you can understand and appreciate it. "I Love Taiwanese Babes.. Taiwanese Babes Love Me...So Who The Hell Is Ling Chi Ling (Current Hot Supermodel in Taiwan)

The 1819 Sticker Movement

Unless you're a history/geography/knowledge fanatic, a freak or just plain local. 1819 would probably be just a collection of useless numerals strung together for nothing.. Well, here's a little graphic graffiti concerto... hur.. Fun. Cheeky.
Least they try.

Sony Walkman Microsite

Really nice clean white space treatment. Especially liked the music selection console
with the dancing Silhouette as backdrop motion. Really cool. Simple sliding effects between the different pages/arenas. Nice. Sometimes flash gets too complicated for users. Simple and straight to the point effects and aesthetics are sometimes a better answer. No more headaches..

The Butter Factory

Amusing & engaging reality reading material based on 4 "sistas" attempt at setting up a new club at MS area. Will they fail? Will they succeed? Who knows. It's nice to know that people like them are doing something they love for a living. We are not alone.. Muhahha.. I think there's a little madness to it all. Risky but fun, what's not to love. Cheerios.
