French Doors For HDB

Have not seen any French Doors in most of the HDB renovation designs
that I've been browsing on the web.

Wonder why.

They look so classy and pretty.  They also take up less space than a Full Door.

Is it because it's too expensive?
Or it's not a popular choice?
Or is it not available in Singapore?
Is not not allowed to be installed in a HDB?

Tried googling and the closest thing I could find was from Sapphire Windows:
http://sapphire.rtrk.sg/?scid=214816&kw=1010059&pub_cr_id=32973378404

Will update when I can get more information on this.

Update 18 April 2015:
Found a supplier of Bi-Fold Doors in Singapore after doing reading on the renotalk forums.
http://www.panggiap88.com.sg/gallery.html

I like the open kitchen concept of this renotalk Blogger that used bi-fold doors with black rimms:
http://www.renotalk.com/forum/topic/63479-a-scandustrial-concept-sengkang-ea/page-15

It opens up the space at most times and yet allows the kitchen to be closed fully during cooking that might be oily and smoky.

Idea Paint Turns Your Surface into a Dry Erase Board

Idea Paint turns any wall into a whiteboard.
Saw this video on YouTube while doing research for the house.
Thought that the idea was good for the study room.
It's kinda expensive though, at minimum US$150 per paint bucket. Ouch!
There's quite a lot of bad reviews of the product and customer service too.

Coming Up In Punggol - WaterTown - New Residential & Shopping Building

WaterTown, a New Residential & Shopping Building
that is upcoming in Punggol, Singapore.

The new Punggol Shopping Mall, Watertown, is targeted to be completed in 2015.

The condominium's expected T.O.P. Date: 31 December 2017·
Expected Date Of Legal Completion: 31 December 2020

I think people who live in Punggol currently (July 2013) have very little choices when it comes to Shopping. Currently, there are a few coffeeshops, supermarkets and a Sheng Siong 24 hours market available.

And small retail areas such as Punggol Plaza (Punggol).
And a little distance away: Rivervale Mall (Sengkang) and Compass Point (Sengkang).

So the development of Watertown, comes as a huge relief and necessary remedy.

(Normally cinemas in Singapore are built on the top floor.
Suspect they are leaving the top floors for more food establishments
to provide a nice view of the waterway)

3. It is situated right next to the Punggol MRT/LRT station.

4. It is right smack in the heart of the Punggol Town.

5. It has a wonderful view of the man-made waterway

Watertown Punggol will be the first luxury waterfront development in Singapore that seamlessly integrates residential units and shopping mall amenities. Waterfront here, meaning, man-made waterway. Or some locals would affectionately call it the giant "longkang" (canal).
A very pretty "longkang', I may add.

A lot of hype has been going on about Punggol Waterway,
the first-ever man-made waterway in Singapore.
