Garrett Hedlund

Garrett Hedlund

I actually saw a few movies that he was cast in but never noticed him.

Those include "Troy" and "Tron Legacy".

He was kinda forgettable and lost in all that muscle from Brad Pitt and nyon lights of the cyber world. Everything changed when I chanced upon "Country Strong" on HBO some nights ago. I think he had a calming charm about him throughout the film without being over-bearing. His deep voice that was showcased throughout the songs in the film was also a nice surprise. He was so good that I actually thought he was a singer that was roped in to act in the film.

I did some research on the web and found out that he was a fan of Tim McGraw while he was growing up. This explains why he was so comfortable and laid back in a country movie. Did you know that Tim McGraw was acting alongside with Garrett in the film "Country Strong" as well?

Some notable songs from the film by Garret are "Give In To Me", "Chances Are" and "Timing is Everything"
Other great songs from the rest of the case include "Words I Couldn't Say" and "A Little Big Stronger".

His girlfriend is Kristen Dunst.

Here Garrett Hedlund  is on the beach with Andrew Garfield. Seems like they're good friends.

His recent projects include an upcoming movie with Kristen Stewart - "On The Road"

He used to be a model before he became an actor.
He reminds me of River Phoenix, Channing Tatum , Ethan Hawke and the Hemsworth brothers.

Can't wait to see his new movie.

End.

Zooey Deschanel

Zooey Deschanel just really stands out from the rest of the Hollywood pack. She has this off-beat charm and the kindest, corn-flower blue, eyes I have ever come across in a celebrity.

If you've read about "Heaven" from Virginia Andrews, she really exemplifies the character description in the book, in terms of looks.

I first noticed her from a film with Sarah Jessica Parker in "Failure To Launch" (2006). She was a likeable and kinda eccentric character.

She looked kinda goofy in an ill-fitting gown for the premiere of the show in New York. Guess she had to have bad moments with fashion too.

Thereafter, she starred in a couple of other non-mainstream films that didn't really get her in the spotlight.
Such as Gigantic (2007) and Yes Man (2008)

Zooey really took off in the indie flick - "500 Days Of Summer" (2009). She was cast opposite the charming Joseph Gordon-Levitt and dressed in various hues of blue throughout the film. The costumes were really pretty and light and played off well against her personal style.

She did a little youtube video with Joseph. Here's a quick look:

What Zooey had to say about the Video:

"I have known Joe Gordon-Levitt for going on 12 years. We first met in the summer of 2000 while doing a tiny movie called Manic, where we bonded over a mutual appreciation for Harry Nilsson and Nina Simone and I have been lucky enough to call him one of my dearest friends ever since. When we did 500 Days of Summer 8 years later, we spent every lunch hour dancing to Marvin Gaye in the hair and make up trailer; we had loads of fun. I hope to do a thousand more movies with him because he's simply the best. But in the meantime, we made a little New Year's duet for all of you! The original by Nancy Wilson. ENJOY! "

She was married for a while to this guy- Ben Gibbard. They got hitched in Seattle on September 19, 2009.

The paid called it quits 2 years later in November 2011. No third party was involved. They were both too busy with their own career it seems.

Zooey has also often been compared to Katy Perry. They are both brunettes with a light complexion and blue eyes. But they couldn't be further apart in terms of personality and styles.

This is what Zooey looks like as a blond.
I'm think she's better off as a brunette. She doesn't look like herself at all.

She looks kinda like Evan Rachel Wood below:. They have the same kind of eyes and peachy skin.

Here's a last snapshot of Zooey from a Rimmel campaign:

Lily Colins

Lily Colins

She first caught my attention in the movie - "The Blind Side", starring as Sandra Bullock's daughter. Even though her scenes were few and far, she managed to light up the screen with her quiet beauty.

Any relation to Phil Colins?

The only other person I knew with the surname Colins was Phil Colins. "Could she possibly be his daughter?", I thought. "Nah, no way. She's too pretty to be his daugher". But low and behold, a simple google search later and I was stumped.

I mean,Oh my god! What are the odds of that happening? Phil Colins seems like a nice bloke. I remember him singing "Separate Lives" and a Lion King theme song. And that was about it. How did he managed to conceive this lovely love child?!

Who is Lily Colin's Mom??

She is none other than Phil Colin's second wife - Jill Tavelman. Here are a couple of photos of the family. The couple are now divorced.

Lily seems to have taken after her mother looks. Their eyes, nose and smile are almost identical.

Who was Lily Colins dating?

Taylor Lautner was dating her in 2011.The pair were both acting on the movie - "Abduction".They called it quits around September the same year. She was spotted in 2012, holding hands with Zac Efron as well. Nothing much of late has surfaced.

Lily Colins as"Snow White" in the movie "Mirror, Mirror"

Her image as Snow White has successfully enhanced her features with her darkened hair and lips.
She looks like she was shooting a beauty ad! She reminds me of Audrey Hepburn too in this shot.

Other Photos of Lily Colins

Not sure how the film will affect her career. But I've certainly taken noticed. Hope you have too.

End.
