Parrot Dancing Gangnam Style

I used to have parrots before as pets.

So I was filled with nostalgia as I chanced upon this video of a Parrot dancing along to "Gangnam Style" from PSY.

And another one I've seen years ago: "Snowball (TM) - Our Dancing Cockatoo"
It's another parrot dancing to "Back Street Boys".

One of them had a really fun and outgoing personality. It did not like to be alone in the dark if we were all in another room. It liked to hang upside down like a bat on the rod where we hung our washed clothing and swing her head from side to side. Super silly antics.

-->

I would say "Bye!" to her everytime I left the house. One day she returned with "Bye!" too. Too cute!

She would entertain herself for half a day playing with an empty Pepsi bottle, making all kinds of noises. Banging it here and there and trying to catch it with her claw and biting it with her beak.

She also flew to and fro the living room, often landing on the sofa with a victory squawk.

Unfortunately, one day she flew away and never came back. We never clipped her wings in order not to hurt her and to give her freedom. It was kinda sad and heart-wrenching. Nonetheless, she brought great joy to the family with her happy, endearing and easy-going nature.

This post is dedicated to the Parrot that flew away. Miss you!

*Pictures from web, there wasn't any mobile device with a good camera then!

Zooey Deschanel

Zooey Deschanel just really stands out from the rest of the Hollywood pack. She has this off-beat charm and the kindest, corn-flower blue, eyes I have ever come across in a celebrity.

If you've read about "Heaven" from Virginia Andrews, she really exemplifies the character description in the book, in terms of looks.

I first noticed her from a film with Sarah Jessica Parker in "Failure To Launch" (2006). She was a likeable and kinda eccentric character.

She looked kinda goofy in an ill-fitting gown for the premiere of the show in New York. Guess she had to have bad moments with fashion too.

Thereafter, she starred in a couple of other non-mainstream films that didn't really get her in the spotlight.
Such as Gigantic (2007) and Yes Man (2008)

Zooey really took off in the indie flick - "500 Days Of Summer" (2009). She was cast opposite the charming Joseph Gordon-Levitt and dressed in various hues of blue throughout the film. The costumes were really pretty and light and played off well against her personal style.

She did a little youtube video with Joseph. Here's a quick look:

What Zooey had to say about the Video:

"I have known Joe Gordon-Levitt for going on 12 years. We first met in the summer of 2000 while doing a tiny movie called Manic, where we bonded over a mutual appreciation for Harry Nilsson and Nina Simone and I have been lucky enough to call him one of my dearest friends ever since. When we did 500 Days of Summer 8 years later, we spent every lunch hour dancing to Marvin Gaye in the hair and make up trailer; we had loads of fun. I hope to do a thousand more movies with him because he's simply the best. But in the meantime, we made a little New Year's duet for all of you! The original by Nancy Wilson. ENJOY! "

She was married for a while to this guy- Ben Gibbard. They got hitched in Seattle on September 19, 2009.

The paid called it quits 2 years later in November 2011. No third party was involved. They were both too busy with their own career it seems.

Zooey has also often been compared to Katy Perry. They are both brunettes with a light complexion and blue eyes. But they couldn't be further apart in terms of personality and styles.

This is what Zooey looks like as a blond.
I'm think she's better off as a brunette. She doesn't look like herself at all.

She looks kinda like Evan Rachel Wood below:. They have the same kind of eyes and peachy skin.

Here's a last snapshot of Zooey from a Rimmel campaign:

Robin from How I Met Your Mother

Robin, the girl that Ted fell hopelessly in love with on the first episode of How I Met Your Mother. That's just how I remember this girl..

I can't really remember her name. Now that the series is coming to an end soon, I've decided to embark on a little research on her. A quick google search and Voila! - Cobie Smulders. So is she Canadian too?

Some facts:

1. She's born on April 3, 1982, in Vancouver. :) Canadian!
2. But she's of Dutch and British descent.

3. She's also a mother of a little girl. I would have never guessed!
4. The father of her child is Shaelyn Cado Killiam. Who is he? Is he cute?

Have a look and decide for yourself. She looks mighty happy in these pictures with him. Rumour has it that they met on the set of HIMYM. He's an actor too! But they do not have any direct scenes together for the show though.

I saw her in a couple of photos from a press conference on the film - "The Avengers" at Comic Con. She's not the main female lead though. She's acting as "Maria Hill". Think she's trying to break into the film industry with this role. The film is being released in May 2012. Hope things go well for "Robin Scherbatsky"! Would love to see more of her on the big screen!

Here's a snapshot of what Cobie would look probably look like if she ended up with a superhero role.

And if you still wanna know if Robin ends up with Ted, here's are some speculations.
"So who is the mother in How I Met Your Mother?"

I've heard that Ted eventually ends up marrying Lily after Marshall dies in an accident. Kinda morbid. Hoping this is not true!!!!!!!!!!!!!

End.

The Hawaii Chair

Was laffing my socks off when I saw this youtube series. Behold the great "Hawaii Chair"!!! :) LOL. I highly recommend watching the ellen talkshow version first. Followed by Scott Mills version. Its a riot. :) Think the product was a success in a whole new other way than it was intended. The tenacity of a spin off and spoof. AMAZING!!!!
